They have been described and analysed in Aldrin, M. (1996), "Moderate projection pursuit regression for multivariate response data", Computational Statistics and Data Analysis, 21, p. 501-531. A short description is given above each data set. A more detailed description is found in Aldrin (1996). These data sets are delivered by Magne Aldrin, Norwegian Computing Center, P.O. Box 114 Blindern,N-0314 Oslo email: magne.aldrin@nr.no WWW: http://www.nr.no/~aldrin/ Permission is hereby given to Statlib to redistribute these data sets. They can be freely distributed and used for non-commercial purposes. %%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%% %%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%% Data set from an experiment at the paper plant Norske Skog, Skogn, Norway. It were described and analysed in Aldrin (1996), and published there. It consists of 30 observations (rows) and 22 variables (colums), but all response variables are missing for the 28th observation. Columns 1 to 13 are response variables that describes various qualities of the paper. Columns 14 to 22 are 9 predictor variables. The first three predictor variables (x1 in column 14, x2 in column 15 and x3 in column 16) were varied systematically through the experiment, taking the values 1, 0 and -1. The next three predictor variables (columns 17 to 19) are constructed as x1**2, x2**2 and x3**2. The last three predictor variables (columns 20 to 22) are constructed as x1*x2, x1*x3 and x2*x3. %%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%% Information about the dataset CLASSTYPE: numeric CLASSINDEX: none specific H h TREE8HEAPX double0int1@SNOD X ?@4 4  &LxSNOD(HTR'@@TR'@@٬\E@@٬\E@@٬\E@@n4@>@d`4?@z?@:M @@٬\E@@:M @@٬\E@@-!l~@@-!l~@@-!l~@@٬\E@@ bA@)A@)A@TR'@@٬\E@@٬\E@@z?@d`4?@:M @@٬\E@@d`4?@٬\E@@:M @@J{/L>@d]KG>@ׁ?@nZ?@5^I ?@^K=k@@ +@@Q0@@~k @@-!l?@~k @@Dt?@_&?@5^I ?@g?@nZ?@3'=@{/L=@Q=@J{/L>@٬ @zv@̌@%u[@6>W[q@6;Nq @ -@5^I B@y) @hO @>yX5@Hz@OjM"@+eX"@Fx "@Fx "@Hz@Hz@ ףp=@?ܵD@y) @5^I B@{P@Af@.1@z6k.@z6k.@z6k.@vOj /@z6k.@n4@+@ q)@ Ac̝*@n4@+@uq @+@ q)@ q)@z6k.@z6k.@I&&-@ho,@z0@z0@z6k.@HP1@ho,@I&&-@ho,@ho,@I&&-@vOj /@ho,@I&&-@n4@+@Q|a2&@{/Lj(@h"lxz)@&@>yX5'@&@V-,@{/Lj(@h"lxz)@h"lxz)@{/Lj(@&@>yX5'@+ ()@Q|a2&@Q|a2&@{/Lj(@ޢ*@UN`+@+ ()@UN`+@ޢ*@UN`+@ޢ*@V-,@UN`+@Et%@>yX5'@+ ()@Ciq '@ǺP%@ݓ#@m4&@%@\CM$@p_@?߾n"@'I"@-!l!@-!l!@^)p#@D%@3$@9#J{%@%@I.!v&@;Nё$@c=y"@Qڛ&@AfG!@?߾n"@AfG!@'I"@9#J!@^)'#@9#J{%@J{/L%@'I"@Q|a2@`TR'@4@S㥛0@2@Oe33@ cN3@Oe33@J41@2@46<2@_Q1@46<2@2@a+51@_Q1@ё\Cz/@uq P1@a+51@oA2@m2@Bfj1@m2@m4w2@|Pk 4@@߾ 2@?ܵ3@&2@@߾ 2@$~1@}?5^6@X9v.9@ q8@"n8@65@ ףp= 6@Ǻ6@ZB>6@ͪV6@:Md5@2ı.4@9m46@:#J{7@46<7@ZB>6@=U5@ZB>6@Mbp6@9m46@V/7@>W[o7@a+eI7@鷯6@ $(~ 7@ҽ1@^I1@.1.@MJ0@ҽ1@I&¦2@2w-!4@ҽ1@^I1@z63@MJ0@ҽ1@58EG22@MJ0@^I1@!u`0@!u`0@d]F/@MJ0@58EG22@^I1@58EG22@ҽ1@z63@MJ0@58EG22@MJ0@ҽ1@MJ0@!lV5@!lV5@ʡ5@;Nё|5@Ǻp5@Ǻp5@!lV5@؁sF&7@d`T6@I +w6@ͪϵ6@d`T6@EJ6@EJ6@Tt$7@Tt$7@yX5 5@sA4@sA4@h4@Ǻ4@Ǻ4@J44@\ Ac\4@SC4@M O4@sA4@sA4@JY84@V@]CU@jMV@jtV@<,V@HPsV@$V@d`TV@z):V@x&1lV@J4V@ҙV@t$>V@t$>V@HP,V@0*PV@z):V@ QuV@jMV@d`TV@ QuV@jMV@镲V@Ciq~V@z):V@>W[GV@d`TV@jMV@^)cV@?8@&c7@ O57@~j48@( 7@o_7@ cZB7@O@aã6@ q6@[Ӽm6@ec]9@ec]9@@a7@6@Pkw,7@@a7@X9v~7@b=8@H8@sFF8@&16@L F%7@sFF8@Pkw,7@fa5@&16@s8@鷯s9@376@  H%&L TREE(" HEAPX( namesorderingtypes0\)`&LSNOD!p# H=* &L H- H- H- H- H- H- H- H- H- H- H- H- H-H-H-H-H-H-H-H- H- H- H-H-H-.H--H-,H-)H-*H-+H-$H-%H-&H-'H-(H-H-H-H-H- H- H- H- H-!H-"H-#GCOL response_12 response_13x1x2x3x1**2x2**2x3**2 x1*x2 x2*x3 x3*x2 response_7 response_8 response_9 response_10 response_11 response_4 response_5 response_6 response_3 response_2 response_1int1double0numericnumericnominal:-1,0,1nominal:-1,0,1nominal:-1,0,1 nominal:0,1 nominal:0,1 nominal:0,1!nominal:-1,0,1"nominal:-1,0,1#nominal:-1,0,1$numeric%numeric&numeric'numeric(numeric)numeric*numeric+numeric,numeric-numeric.numeric *`&L
